Fibroids Symptoms such as abdominal pain, fatigue and heavy periods are not always immediately obvious in women.

Fibroids are non-cancerous growths that grow in or around the womb (uterus)

Do More Exercise

Exercise helps the release of more hormones from organs such as the heart, kidneys and gut.

Watch Your Weight

It is thought that there is a link between weight and fibroids.

Fibroids occur more often in overweight or obese women because being overweight increases the level of estrogen in the body.

A combination of well known factors can help with better weight management but the key advice here is to find a plan that you enjoy and can stick to.

Think about what you eat and what you can reduce levels of such as Salt, Fat and Sugar.

Why not think about taking that 30 minute walk to work rather than riding the Bus?

There is a wealth of advice, diet plans etc out there - try slow and steady and then up the levels as you feel more comfortable with what you are doing.

Reduce Stress Levels

Personally, stress is one of the major contributors to the very worst of my Fibroid Symptoms.

It was like a “vicious circle” - the worse the Symptoms, the more stressed I became.

When I realised what was happening and how stress was having such a big impact on my career and life, I decided to take action right away.

Reducing Stress can happen in a range of ways from just taking time out to read an inspirational book to watching a funny movie to attending Yoga classes.

There is no right or wrong way, just find something that you enjoy and can dedicate some time to.
